Needles
Needles is a fashion brand founded in Japan in 1995 by Keizo Shimizu, who also founded the famous select shop Nepenthes. The brand name "Needles" means "needle" and, as a play on words, also conveys the idea that "you don't need more than you need." Needles is known for its vibrant color schemes and unique style, while still maintaining a basic design. Signature products include track pants available in a wide variety of colors, which are developed with different materials and silhouettes each season, attracting attention every year. Other items include 1950s-style cowboy jackets featuring iconic butterfly embroidery, and vintage-style mohair cardigans, perfect for winter outfits.
The 26SS collection is a light and profound season, fusing the brand's nostalgic aesthetic with a modern sensibility. Set against a backdrop inspired by the resort mood of the Showa era and a blend of Japanese and Western styles, the collection expresses a unique atmosphere through the overlapping of materials, patterns, and silhouettes. Expressive fabrics that add depth to the texture create a relaxed layered style. The brand's iconic Track Series is still alive and well, symbolizing the collection as a combination of sportiness and elegance. This collection, characteristic of the brand, combines classic and contemporary styles, everyday and decorative, resulting in a lineup that naturally enhances the wearer's individuality.
